Jay Wingerter was born on May 24, 1959, to Joseph and Agnes (Schneider) Wingerter in Selfridge, ND.  He grew up on the family farm while attending school in Selfridge and Bismarck.  Later he went on to attend the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA, which was one of his favorite places to live.

He found joy in spending time with his family, especially during the holidays.  His nieces and nephews adored him, and he cherished every moment with them.  Music was his true passion and he loved attending concerts and would immerse himself in the melodies and rhythms that touched his heart, especially jass.  His love for music and family brought him happiness.

Jay will be lovingly remembered for his kind, loving, and giving soul who selflessly gave to others.   He was always dedicated to wearing his brown scapular and praying the St Michael and the Lord’s Prayer.

Jay will be deeply missed by his mother, Agnes; his sisters, Dawn (Dean) Friedt, Mott, and Constance (Mike) Eckert, Bismarck; his brothers, Tim, Fairbanks, AK, Bob, Alexandria, MN., Carold (Cheryl), Oak Grove, MN, Ted (Lilia), North Pole, AK, and Dean, Mandan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and sisters-in-law, Rosemary Wingerter and Carol Wingerter.
