Agnes Buechler, 86, of Bismarck, passed away April 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the Benedictine Living Community, Bismarck, ND.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, ND with Rev Bruce Krebs as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Bismarck Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service.

Agnes was born on November 13, 1936, to John P. and Marianna (Nold) Zacher in Strasburg, ND where she was raised and educated.

On September 25, 1957, she married Martin Buechler in a double ceremony along with Valentine & Gloriann Zacher in Strasburg.

Martin and Agnes made their home on the family homestead 10 miles east of Strasburg. Later they moved to Bismarck where Agnes worked at St. Alexius Hospital, then at Kirkwood Motor Inn for 13 years, Q & R Clinic for 15 years, Medcenter One, and the Dollar Discount Store where she retired from in 2008.

Agnes’ family was her pride and joy. She always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her new great great granddaughter named after her.

She will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Karen (Martin Paul) Buechler of Lemmon, SD, Mary Buechler, and Brenda Buechler, both of Bismarck, ND; five grandchildren, Jeremy LaFramboise, Miranda (Josh) Reynolds, John (Jennifer) LaFramboise, Travis (Kayla) LaFramboise, all of Bismarck, Waylon (Wynter) Buechler of Mandan; 10 great-grandchildren, Eve and Eric LaFramboise, Thomas, Mackenzie, and Kaisley LaFramboise, Peyton Mahlmeister, Carter LaFramboise, Mason and Marleigh Reynolds, Wyler Buechler; and 1 great great granddaughter, Agnes LaFramboise.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Buechler; her son, Duane Buechler; her parents; five brothers, Aloysius, Larry, Peter, George, and Valentine; and three sisters, Maggie, Eleanor, and Virginia.
