Agnes E. Mizeur, 96, Bismarck formerly of Ray, ND passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home.

Agnes was born August 3, 1929 at the family farm near Orrin, ND to Ben and Anna (Wanner) Volk. The family later moved to Bergen where Agnes attended school. After graduation, Agnes moved to Minot where she worked as a waitress.
Agnes married Laurence Mizeur on November 23, 1950. To this union three children were born- Cheryl, Alvin and Gary.
Agnes was a great homemaker. But she would laugh and say she was like Rosanne Barr, a domestic goddess. She enjoyed family get togethers during the holidays of which the meal had to be just right.
Agnes was a devout Catholic loving her faith. She taught Catholic education for many years, sang in the choir, and was president of the altar society on many occasions. When she said she would pray a rosary for you, it was ALL 4 mysteries (20 decades)!
With Laurence’s passing, she moved from Ray to Marillac Manor in Bismarck.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Guttormson; son, Gary (Theresa) Mizeur; sister, Angie Prescott ; brother, Robert (Chris) Volk; grandchildren, Allen Guttormson, John (Emma) Mizeur, Lee Mizeur, Luke Mizeur, Linda (Josh) Prust; great-grandchildren, Grace Guttormson, Katie and Ava Mizeur, and Quinn and Adelynn Prust.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence; son, Alvin; parents, Ben and Anna Volk; sisters, Mary Braun, Walburga Kahl and brother, Edward Volk.
