Albert Kline Jr.

July 26, 1941 — November 8, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al Kline Jr., who left this world on November 8, 2024, at the age of 83. Al was born on July 26, 1941, in Mercer, North Dakota, to Al and Joy Kline. He grew up surrounded by the love of family, nurturing a lifelong passion for music and the outdoors that would shape his character and his relationships for years to come.

Al's childhood was filled with the harmonious melodies of family gatherings, where he often sang alongside his sisters, sharing in the joy of music that would remain a cornerstone of his life. He was an accomplished guitarist, and his talent brought happiness to many friends and family members. Music was not just a hobby for Al; it was a way for him to connect with those he loved, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

At a young age, Al developed a deep passion for hunting, a pursuit that became an integral part of his identity. Many cherished memories were made during hunting trips around Mercer, where Al shared his love for the great outdoors with his children. These adventures fostered a sense of camaraderie and joy that resonated within his family, creating bonds that would endure forever.

Al is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Gay; his beloved parents, Al and Joy Kline; and his sister, Susan. He is survived by his loving sisters, Celeste and Jill and his sons, Justin, Vic, Al, Erik, and Kris, along with their families. Al’s legacy will live on through the love and memories he created with his family, who will forever hold him in their hearts.

In honoring Al’s wishes, he was cremated, and the family will gather at a later date to celebrate his remarkable life. This celebration will be a time for sharing stories, laughter, and love—just as Al would have wanted, surrounded by those he cherished most.
