Arline Emineth, 87, of Bismarck, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at Sanford Medical Center, Bismarck.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Arline was born on January 4, 1939, in Golden Valley, North Dakota, Arline spent her formative years on her family's farm before making her way to Bismarck.
On June 1, 1962, Arline married Edwin Emineth, the love of her life, and they enjoyed 63 beautiful years together. As a devoted wife, she cultivated a warm and loving home. Arline's proudest accomplishments revolved around her family, she treasured her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Arline was always there to support her family, taking pride in their accomplishments and supporting them in their endeavors.
Arline dedicated 40 years of her life working at the Bismarck Hospital, where she worked in admissions and at the switchboard, most often during the night shifts. Her commitment to her career was a testament to her strong work ethic and her passion for service.
Her hobbies encompassed a variety of interests; she was an avid genealogist, creating three genealogy books that are now preserved at the Germans from Russia Heritage headquarters. In addition, Arline had a natural talent for sewing, quilting, embroidery, and knitting, crafting everything from potholders to bridesmaid dresses, and lovingly baking cakes for many weddings and birthdays. She embraced travel across the country, often intertwining family visits with her research, further enriching her genealogy projects.
Arline also made a significant impact through her volunteer work at the North Dakota Heritage Center. Her love for dance and music reflected the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Always kind and generous, she was celebrated not just for her many talents but for her genuine interest in the well-being of others.
Arline is survived by her loving husband, Edwin; children, Terry (Lisa) Emineth and Ranee (Duane) Gross; grandchildren, Kaylee Emineth, Kyle Gross, Bryce Gross, and Joshua Richards; granddaughter-in-law, Kami Kappedal; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Joshua Jr., Mason, Max, and Jayci; siblings, Melvin (Beatrice) Roth and Lucille Emineth; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Richards; grandson, Jason; granddaughter-in-law, Becky Richards; brothers, Don Roth and Harold Roth; and brother-in-law, Leonard Emineth.
As we remember Arline Emineth, we celebrate a life well-lived—filled with love, creativity, and a deep commitment to family and community. Her legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
