Calvin J. Johnson; 81 of Kintyre, ND passed away November 16 th , 2022 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center with his loving wife Bernie by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Johnson Farm (Kintyre) in the Spring/Summer (Date to be determined).

Calvin was born on November 28 th 1940 to Magdalena (Haid) and Ervin Johnson.  He married the love of his life Bernadette Bitz (Rose and Mathias Bitz) on June 19 th 1971.  Calvin made his life’s work farming in Kintyre where he and Bernie raised 3 daughters.  Calvin loved hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, long – haul driving, saunas, and visiting with family and friends. His legacy as a humble, kind, loving, funny, hospitable and faithful carer of people, land and animals will last for generations to come.

Calvin will be deeply missed by his wife Bernie, Daughters: Claudette (Richard) Thompson, Jolette (Mike) Wilson, Lori (Bill) Walker, Grandchildren: John (Kelsey) Nichols, Sadie Solum, Triton and Brinlee Walker, Great Grandchildren Clarissa Farley and Stevie Nichols. Brothers: Lyle (Eleanor), Don (Bernice), and Tom, foster brother: Terry Hilbers along with numerous extended family and friends.

Calvin was proceeded in death by his Parents: Ervin and Magdalena (Haid) Johnson, Brother: Rodney, Sister: Audrey and  brother-in-law Carlo Laine, Nephew: Rick Laine, Grandchild: Angel baby Thompson, Great Grandchild: Angel baby Solum.

In lieu of flowers in memory of Calvin, please make memorials to: Farm Rescue or Kitty City/Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue/Central Dakota Humane Society (or your favorite animal rescue organization).
