Cecilia Ann Deichert

Cecilia Ann Deichert, 80, of Bismarck, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2026, surrounded by family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Rev Joseph Deichert and Rev Jared Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Gertude Catholic Cemetery.

Cecilia, also affectionately called Cil, was born March 15, 1946, in Flasher, North Dakota and was the first of eleven children born to John and Laura (Kahl) Deichert. She grew up on the family farm southwest of St. Gertrude. After finishing her education, she lived in Bismarck and dedicated many years of work to Western Steel & Plumbing.

Cecilia was extraordinarily devoted to her family and showed endless support. She lived a life of devout faith and joy.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings and their children, Linda and Dallas (Lana and Al), Jude (Morgan, Happy), John Jr. and Vivian (John III and Tamar, Rebecca and Brian), Steve and Nancy (Pamela and BJ), Thomas, William and Cheryl (Matthew and Dani, Christopher and Crystal), Patrick, Susanne and Ed (Kyle, Brooke and Kendall, Lucas), along with the rest of her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, her sister Elizabeth, her niece Jamie, and her infant nephew Zachary.
