Connie Rae Gregoire, 69, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 28, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home.
She was born on May 28, 1956, in Kenmare, North Dakota, to Robert and Dorothy Bauer. Connie grew up on the family farm, where she learned the value of hard work, resilience, and caring for others—qualities she carried with her throughout her life. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1974, she met Terry Haskins, and the two were married from 1977 until Terry’s passing in 1987. Connie married Edward Gregoire on March 5, 1988, and in their 37 years together, they enjoyed exploring the country on their motorcycle and in their Mustang convertible, and caring for their yard and many plants. Their adventures and shared love of the open road, as well as tending to their home and garden, were a source of joy and lasting memories. Connie began working at Walmart in 1990 and continued until her passing, taking great pride in her work and cherishing the lasting friendships she made over the years in Minot and Bismarck. Her dedication and keen eye for detail extended beyond her own stores—whenever she traveled to another city, she couldn’t resist visiting the local Walmart to see how their end cap designs compared to hers.
Connie built a life centered on love, dedication, and the joy she found in her family. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Gregoire; her children, Mac Haskins, Marty (Kelly) Haskins, Mindy Haskins, Mitchell (Katie) Haskins, and Michael (Cristina) Gregoire.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, each of whom brought light to her life: Jason Young Jr., Baylee Gregoire, Francesca Young, Sophia Haskins, Gabriel Young, Piper Haskins, Lucy Gregoire, Parker Haskins, Camdyn Haskins, Everett Haskins, and Amelia Haskins.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy; her first husband, Terry, and her grandchild, Parker.
Connie will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the relationships she cherished, and the countless moments of kindness she shared throughout her life.
