Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bismarck, ND.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Dale Ennen was born on June 25, 1936, in Richland County, North Dakota, to Al and Margaret Ennen.
On January 28, 1954, he married the love of his life, Darlyne Moeller. Together, they raised a family of six, including their children Deb, Cindi, Gary, Dan, Michelle, and Kory. The family began their journey in Fairmount, ND, before moving to Erie, ND, in 1959 and settling in Wing, ND in 1964. In Wing, Dale took on the role of manager at the Wing Farmers Union for 22 years, where his dedication to both his work and community flourished. Dale was an active participant in various community services; he served as the fire chief, volunteered for the Wing ambulance, was a member of the Wing Public School board, and took on responsibilities with the WTR baseball board, reflecting his commitment to both youth and community. He was also a valued member of his church’s parish council and spent decades as a member of the Lion’s Club, proudly receiving his 50-year badge in recognition of his valuable contributions.
Dale had a special passion for sports, notably expressed through the management of the family coed softball team, which included not only his children but also two sons-in-law and family friends. In 1985, he and Darlyne moved to Bismarck, where they could be closer to their children and grandchildren. Dale continued his professional path managing fertilizer plants in Mandan and Bismarck until his retirement.
Throughout his life, Dale cherished the moments spent with his family, particularly watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren showcase their talents in sporting events. He was a man of faith who found joy in cheering on his beloved Minnesota Vikings, surrounded by those he loved.
Dale is survived by three of his children, Gary (Roxy) Ennen, Dan (Becky) Ennen, and Michelle (LaMonte) Jacobson, all of Bismarck. He also leaves behind sons-in-law, Dann Stuart and Mike Schumacher. Dale's legacy continues through his beloved 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlyne; his daughters, Deb Stuart and Cindi Schumacher; and his infant son, Kory. His memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be dearly missed by family and friends.
