Dolores Western

Dolores E. Western, 90, passed away July 23, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bismarck Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Dolores was born May 21, 1935 to Donald K and Jennie (Larson) Stewart in Brinsmade, ND. She graduated from Edmore High School with the Class of 1954. Dolores married Sheldon Ivesdal in 1955 and they had two children, David and Stuart (Jamie). Dolores later married Gaynor (Wes) Western in Mandan.

She worked at McCarney Ford in Bismarck, which later became Eide Ford for 19 years and enjoyed her job. Her last job was working at the front desk of The Ridge Motel in Mandan. In 2020, she retired and moved to Edgewood Vista.

Dolores is survived by her son, Stuart (Jamie) and wife Berdene Ivesdal; granddaughters, Jacey (AJ) Chmielewski and their children, Cora & Ryker, Korena (Eric) Ediburn and their children, Treston Ediburn and his daughter, Maze and Braedyn Ediburn; grandson, Lance (Leann) Ivesdal and their son, Bryce; 2 brothers, Dennis (Linda) Stewart and Donald Jr. (Lydia) Stewart; sister, Sharon Bendish; family friends, John and Diane Krein along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David; 2 husbands, Sheldon and Gaynor; sisters, Dorothy (Wayne) Wavrin, Margaret (Gerald) Farnsworth; sister-in-law, MaryAnn Stewart; brother-in-law, Arnold Bendish.
