Douglas James Davison, 75, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 at 2 pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to share memories and celebrate Doug’s life.
Doug was born on February 16, 1950, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Philip and Margaret Davison. He grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota and later attended the University of North Dakota.
Doug married the love of his life, Mary Weigel, and together they built a life filled with family, love, and laughter. He was a proud father to Brad (Sarah) Davison and Seth (Whitney) Davison, and a loving grandfather to Tenley, Ella, and Sawyer, as well as Marlo and Sonny. His family, along with his beloved dogs, brought him his greatest joy.
Doug was a lifelong music lover and could often be found working in his garden. In his younger years he enjoyed skiing and spending time in Big Sky, Montana. Above all, Doug will be remembered for his steady love for his family and friends, and the way he always made those around him feel at home.
He is survived by his wife Mary, his children and grandchildren, his brothers Skip and Greg, cousin Sue Manley, and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Margaret.
