Gerald Kaiser, 76, passed away on June 5, 2025 at the Knife River Care Center in Beulah. Burial will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
Gerald was born on March 2, 1949 to John and Eva (Ensz) Kaiser in Bismarck, ND. He attended Wilton Public School. At the age of 16 he joined the Job Corp and later went in the Army and spent 2 years in Vietnam. Gerald then went into the Air Force for the next 18 years.
Gerald married Gloria Schmidt on Sept. 30, 1972 but then later divorced. Together they had 3 children, Joan Elms, of Brandon, SD, Gerald James, of Elk River, MN, James Kaiser, of Bismarck, 4 grandchildren, Brittney, Kristen, Austin and Alena, 1 great grandchild, Monroe.
He enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo at the care center, coming to the Wanstrom’s for the holidays and celebrating his birthday. In June the family brought him down to Wilton for a class reunion and seen some people he hadn’t seen for 50 years. He also loved being around family.
Gerald will be greatly missed by his sister, Darlene (Orlyn) Wanstrom, Sandy (Richardt) Schock, sister-in-law, Deb Kaiser and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Leona (David) Kassion, Judy (Jack) Hartley, Mary Lou Davenport, Donna and Elizabeth, brothers, Clifford, Mike and Joseph.
The family would like to thank the Veterans Dept for all their help, the Knife River Care Center who did an amazing job and to all the medical staff in Hazen.
