In 1995, he married Lisa Jangula and together they had their son Zakk Thompson. In 2008, Gregg married Jennifer Insalaco, together they had their daughter Skyler, along with step son, Demitre Insalaco. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and coworker. One of his greatest joys in life was being a dad and grandpa. He also enjoyed art, riding motorcycles, and, of course, had a love-hate relationship with the Minnesota Vikings. These interests were a special part of his life and gave him many moments of happiness and memories to share with others.
Gregg is survived by his parents Donald and Arlo Thompson, his son, Zakk Thompson (Dominique), his grandchildren, Dezirae and Draedyn, and by his daughter, Skyler Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters, Pamela Cook and Beth Landenberger (James), and nieces and nephews, Chrystin Cook (Ruby), and her children, William, Nora, and Cooper; Max Cook (Macie), and their children, Sunday and Gus, and Ryan and Rachel Landenberger, who will all cherish their memories with him. Gregg is also survived by his aunts, Linda Carlson, Patricia Brown, and cousins Jonathan, Peter, and Michael Carlson, Melissa Sabot, Melinda Wagner, and Shannon Brown. He will be deeply missed by his close friend, Wendi Ward, as well as his many coworkers who were an important part of his life.
Gregg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Ethel Brown and Albert and Selma Thompson; and his uncles, Dale Brown, Alden Brown, and Hilmer Carlson.
His life touched many people, and his memory will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
