James Emanuel Munsch, 78, passed away on September 22, 2026 at the Garrison Hospital. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29 at 1:30 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, September 28 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home.
James was born on May 10, 1948 and was married for a wonderful 56 years to Darlene Munsch.
He worked as a CNA until he was unable to because of his disability. He loved fishing, carpentry, and gardening, and working on vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters, Dorothy (Todd) Tuhy and Susan Munsch; son, Adam Munsch; seven grandchildren, Jasmine and Cole, Jacob and Elizabeth, Eric and Daisy, Jacquelynn and two great-grandchildren, Presly and Ivory.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine; grandchild, Eric Scott; his mother and father; five brothers and three sisters.
