Jeanette Hansen

Jeanette (Hallgren) Hansen, 89, went to be with her heavenly Father February 19, 2026 while at Crook County Long Term Care in Sundance, WY.

Jeanette was born June 3, 1936 in Crosby, ND to Fern and Oliver Fordahl. She attended Crosby schools and graduated from high school in 1954. She married Raymond Hallgren June 1954. She worked as Dietary Aide and Housekeeping at St Luke's Hospital for several years. She also worked in various restaurants as well. Together they raised 6 children. She was an amazing, caring, and supportive mom. Raymond passed June, 1979. She married Duane Hansen June, 1986 but they divorced March, 1999. After retirement she traveled taking care of sister Olive in CA for 5 years and sister Emilee in ND for 5 years, spending her last 5 years under daughter Ramona and grandson Michael's care in WY.

Mom was an excellent cook! She enjoyed baking bread, buns, donuts, and her famous homemade pizza for whomever stopped by. Served an amazing Sunday meal, which we were all required to attend! She was proud of the beautiful flowers and garden she raised. Everyone who knew Jeanette was amazed by her witty observations. Teaching Sunday school was another joy of hers.

Jeanette put her children and grandchildren above all else. She loved laughing and playing games, cards, and puzzles with them.

She is survived by her children, Ramona Eutsler, Osage, WY; Duane (Terri) Hallgren, Gold Bar WA; Gloria (Maynard) Fenster, Williston, ND; Susan (Mike) Schmidt, Arlington, WA; grandchildren, Michael Hallgren, Jolyn (Nick) Koss, DJ Hallgren, Melissa and Cory Hasselstrom, Seth(Kayla), Slade, and Shannon(Taylor) Fenster, Kendall (Alex) Strand, Nicholas (Alex) Strand, Ashley Lindquist. Jeanette was also blessed with 11 Great grandchildren.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughters, Diane Hasselstrom and Melissa Strand; sons- in- law, Blair Hasselstrom and Gregory Strand; grandson-in-law, Anthony Lindquist; sisters, Olive Patton, Florence Gumke, Carmen Fordahl, Emilee Boschee, Lois Roden, Eileene Hysjulien, Juanita Wilhelmi, and Patricia Bergstad; brothers, Leroy (military action), Robert, Clifford, and Lowell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 11:00AM at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Family will be receiving guests one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Concordia Cemetery (Crosby) at a later date.
