Jeanne Petrei

Nov 4, 1945 — Sep 3, 2026

Jeanne Frances Petrei died September 3, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

A gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 9 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the Bismarck Funeral Home.

Jeanne was born November 4, 1945 in Fairmont MN to Naomi (Sisson) Petrei and Frank Petrei. She graduated from Fairmont high school and entered the working world as a live in caregiver to children and to elderly. She never had children of her own yet she claimed all the children she raised as her own, they all stayed in touch through the years.

In the late 1980s she moved to North Carolina where she continued to give care to those who needed and to help her sister with her Cleaning business.

It was just a few years ago that she moved to Bismarck, ND and started a new adventure here. She loved going to the Age Well Center everyday. She met so many new people there and quickly became friends with them all. Jeanne enjoyed crocheting needle points, reading, puzzle books, cribbage, and a variety of other games, along with adventures she had. Ask her to go, and yes was the answer! She was always willing to try something new.

She will be missed by her sisters, Bonnie McMurtry (Danielson) of Fairmont MN, Jenny Peterson (Danielson) of Fairmont, Jo Kelsh of Bismarck; Sisters-in-law, Tari (Richard) of Fairmont MN, Barb Danielson (Ronald) of Florida, and many nieces, nephews and her family at the Age Well center.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Harris; step-fathers, Russ Harris, Earl Danielson; father, Frank Petrei; Sisters, Pat Karsit, Pamela Huddleston, Christine Hieronymus; brothers, Ronald Danielson and Richard Danielson.
