Marlene Jones

Marlene Jones passed away on August 9, 2026. Born and raised in Minot, ND, she graduated from Minot State University and later lived in Bismarck. Throughout her life, she worked as an art teacher, a Falkirk Coal Mine employee, a CNA at Prairie View Nursing Home, and at a Bismarck group home, before spending her final four years at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home.

Marlene was a delightful, positive soul known for a graceful wit that could disarm anyone with a joke. She brought light and laughter into every room she entered, always maintaining an upbeat and encouraging outlook on life no matter the circumstances. Her kindness and ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, two sisters, and a niece.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society – St. Vincent's Chapel, 1021 N. 26th St. Bismarck, ND.
