Nancy's life was defined by her loving spirit and creative heart. Raising her three children—Misty, Jenny, and Clint—was one of her greatest joys. She was deeply proud of the people they became and all they achieved. On May 5, 2006, she married Ron Schneider, initiating a partnership where she often playfully took charge, and Ron good-naturedly followed her lead.
Throughout her lifetime, Nancy made significant contributions to her community. She took pride in her ceramic business in Lemmon, SD, and earned a reputation for her exceptional prime rib and steaks at the Steak House. Over the years, she worked as a caregiver at the Manchester House and Pride Inc. in Bismarck, ND, where she was known for her kindness and creativity making little gifts such as tooth fairy pillows and slippers. Nancy also served diligently as a rural mail carrier in Scottsbluff, NE, taking over the route previously run by her father. Most recently, she ran her small business, Missouri River Market, where she created cherished memory bears, quilts, and crocheted items that brought joy to many across the country.
Nancy’s one-of-a-kind laugh and sense of humor remained with her through every stage of life, offering joy to others up until her final moments. She enjoyed playing on a local pool league team called the Outlaws in Lemmon, SD, forming many lasting friendships through the camaraderie of weekly games. Nancy had a creative spirit and loved spending time on a variety of crafts, always making something beautiful with her hands. If she saw something she liked, she could bring it to life with her crochet hook, that was her special gift. Her beautiful work brought comfort and joy to many. Nancy cherished spending time outdoors, particularly while camping and fishing with her husband and family, which fostered happy memories. She shared a close bond with her brother, and their daily calls were a treasured part of her life. He was her forever buddy through every season of life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially playing marbles and Sequence during their visits. These simple games created moments of laughter and connection, leaving behind memories the family will always treasure.
Nancy was blessed with a close-knit family and valued the profound relationships she treasured throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Schneider of Bismarck, ND; daughters Misty Miller of Fargo, ND, and Jenny Lang of Bismarck, ND; son Clint Miller of Bismarck, ND; step-sons Mike Schneider of Belfield, ND, and Paul (Tracy) Schneider of Mandan, ND; and her wonderful grandchildren, Taylor Gross of Fargo, ND, Parker Crooks of Fargo, ND, Meadoh Miller of Bismarck, ND, Kendra Lang of West Pine Ridge, Manitoba, Kristen Schneider of Mandan, ND, and Jordyn Wilson of Mandan, ND and one great-grandchild, August Pitre of West Pine Ridge, Manitoba.

She loved being around her nephews, Richard “Rich” Hanshew, Dave Hanshew of Sioux Falls, SD, Daniel Hanshew of Dickinson, ND, and Scott Hanshew of Arivaca, AZ.
Nancy was preceded in death by her grandchild, Bennett Lang; her parents, Richard and Joann Hanshew, and Scott and Jean Hammontree; her grandparents, Guy and Lola Hanshew; and cherished friends Aldene & John Powers and Peggy Otto.
