Peter O. Wolf, age 98 of Bismarck North Dakota, passed peacefully while surrounded by family on June 14 , 2021, in Belle Fourche, SD.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday June 18 th at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Bismarck. There will be no visitation although there will be a Rosary service prior to mass. A burial service will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Zeeland following the memorial service. A Livestream of the Service will be available on the Bismarck Funeral Home Facebook page.
Peter was born to John and Mary (Richter) Wolf in Zeeland, ND on Dec.24 th , 1922. He was married to Katie (Wenninger) in Hague, N.D. on November 21, 1944. To this union was born two sons: Kenneth and Leo. Pete and Katie farmed north of Zeeland, N.D. until 1953. They moved to Bismarck, N.D. where he went to work for John Larson Construction Company and retired as Job Superintendent after 30 years. Pete retired in 1983 to spend time with his grandchildren camping, fishing, and playing games and cards with them. He loved to ride his bike (into his upper eighties). He was an avid fisherman and gardener, enjoyed going on bus trips with Katie, meeting people, and having fun. He was active at St. Mary’s church as an usher, parish council member, and would often lead the rosary. He was a life member of Bismarck Eagles Club.
Pete spent the last 3 years under the loving care of Malynda/Jeremy Wolf in their home near his grandchildren, great children, and great-great grandchildren.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Katie; his parents, John and Mary Wolf; brothers, John and Leo Wolf; sisters, Johanna Feist, Margie Holzer, and Katie Payne. He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth and Leo; 5 grandchildren: Pam, Laura, Jeremy, Mary Jo, and Audrey; 9 great-grandchildren: Cameron, Samantha, Brennan, Hannah, Elena, Kaylyn, Alex, Isaac, Ian; and 2 great- great-grandchildren: Carter and Rowan.
