Raymond Andrew Novitske, 79, died May 2, 2025, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota.
There will be a gathering to honor Ray’s memory held on June 3, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Menominee Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin at the Chief Oshkosh Memorial located on Pratt Trial (entrance starts near the end of Merritt Street.)
Ray was born on July 6, 1945, in Ripon, Wisconsin, the son of Lawrence and Leora Mae (Mlodzik) Novitske. He was baptized and confirm in the Catholic Church. He attended Ripon High School in Ripon, Wisconsin and El Camino, Jr. College. Ray served in the Marine Corps.
Ray owned several businesses over the span of his life including Ripon Oil Company, Novitske Heating, Novitske Trucking, and Ray’s Truck and Trailer Repair. He was a sharp man with wisdom in many different areas.
Ray eventually moved to Turtle Lake, North Dakota where he retired for health reasons and he met many special friends while living there.
Ray was a man of many hobbies and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and any card game. In his later years, he especially enjoyed playing poker and met many friends while playing in numerous tournaments.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Natalie Rae Nygren; his grandson, Noah Nygren of Appleton, Wisconsin; his sister, Donna Mae Acheson of Murfreesboro, TN; and brothers Ronald Novitske and Robert Novitske of Ripon, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
