Those conversations and precious moments of connection brought him comfort and joy during his final days.
Richard is survived by his children: Chad (Todd) Long, Tafaney (Joel) Johnson, three grandsons: Nicholis (Samantha) Johnson, Noah (Kyra) Johnson, Jensen Long Berg; one great-grandson: Beckett Johnson; his siblings: Mary Ann Hansen, Joyce (Mike) Owsley, David Long, Helen (Dean) Carpenter, and Arthur (Kijra) Long; as well as extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Clara (Torgerson) Long; his grandparents: Charles and Clara (Freese) Long and Tom and Anna (Lere) Torgerson.
Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was larger than life and the boyish grin never faded.
