Bismarck

Robert Allen Schneider, 65, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away on August 12, 2026, at Sanford Hospital. He was affectionately known as “Bob” and “Rambo” to those who knew and loved him.

Bob was born on January 3, 1961, in Bismarck, ND, to Joseph and Joyce (Newman) Schneider. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of the outdoors, and the simple things that brought him joy.

Bob had a lifelong love of fishing that began when he was young and continued throughout his life. He loved being outdoors and spending time on the water. He also enjoyed watching sports and looked forward to every softball season, when he could be on the field doing something he truly enjoyed as an umpire.

Bob was well known throughout the community through his years of work. Many people will remember him from his time as the “water guy” at Premium Beverages, driving around town in his big blue Kandiyohi water truck. He was also known and remembered by many from his time working at Cloverdale Meats. The people he met and the connections he made through his work became an important part of the community he called home.

Bob loved listening to music and playing bingo with his dear friend, Pamela Lang. He was also a true animal lover who had a special place in his heart for dogs and cats. Above all else, Bob loved his children deeply. His children held a very special place in his heart, and the love he had for them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Michelle (Shelly) Schneider, John and Kim Schneider, and James (Jim) Schneider; his children, Joseph Wilson and Angela (Cody) Lanson (Lang); and his stepson, Nathan Lang. He also leaves behind extended family and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Newman and Joseph Schneider; his great-grandparents, Eva Warner Eck and Vernon Newman; Justina Feldman and Michael Schneider; as well as many aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

Bob’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the stories they share, the music they remember him enjoying, the love he had for his children and animals, the fishing memories that began in his childhood, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout his years. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Bismarck, North Dakota. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Bob’s life, share memories, and celebrate the person he was.
