After graduating, Rob followed his dream and joined the U.S. Air Force. He also got his dream job and worked on F-15 Fighter Jets. He spent time at Lockland AFB in Texas where he did Basic Training. From there he went to Tech School at Lowery AFB in Colorado. He was then stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida. He finished the last 3 years of his service stationed at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan.
Rob enjoyed playing video games, putting together models and dioramas of military aircraft and vehicles. He enjoyed fishing, especially when he got a boat and could go on the lake. He loved being a part of the community in Tioga doing things like using his MacGyver brain while working at ACE Hardware to help community members complete projects. He was also a leader of the Cub Scout troop in Tioga. He enjoyed tinkering with anything he could to keep his mind busy. Rob also enjoyed being out on the lake with his wife fishing, and spending time with his son Duncan doing everything from small projects, watching movies, to telling his dad lore stories. Of course, he also loved his 2005 Hummer H2. It was his dream vehicle. Duncan often joked about Rob loving his hummer more than us. Rob also made another dream come true after moving to Tioga. He was able to write and publish 3 books.
Rob was an amazing friend, father and husband. He was always there when anyone needed anything. He was fluent in sarcasm and enjoyed making people smile and laugh.
