Roger Kornack

Roger John Kornack, 78, of Washburn, passed away Wednesday, Oct 15th after a short battle with cancer with his wife by his side. He was born to Pauline (Suennen) Kornack and Arthur (Art) Kornack in Marshfield, Wisconsin on Dec. 30, 1946 the first of eight children.

He grew up on the family dairy farm and upon high school graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Roger was married and divorced. From that union two children were born. He married Sharon Miller in 1973.

They made their home in Grand Forks ND, moving to Washburn, ND in 1985 where Roger worked as a mechanic for the county, later becoming shop foreman before retiring from McLean County.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon and her children, Kim, Kelly and Kindra, his two children, Angel and Kenneth, three brothers, Chuck, Ed and Greg, four sisters, Joann, Linda, Marilyn and Beverly along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law.

A small family service will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. Please send any memorials in honor of Roger to the charity of your choice.
