Roland "Rollie" Siirtola

Roland Lee Siirtola, 71, of Bismarck, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, surrounded by his family.

A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 21st at Union Cemetery, Wing, ND. Followed by a lunch at the Wing Senior Center.

Roland was born December 16, 1954, in Bismarck to Felix and Eloise (Olson) Siirtola. He was raised and educated in Wing.

He enjoyed spending time with his two boys, Roland and Terry. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Roland loved hunting and got both a North Dakota Elk and Moose tag. He was a loyal Vikings and Twins fan always watching them, even when they lost. You could find him watching Class B Basketball or spending time and laughing with friends.

Roland will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years Elaine; two sons, Roland and Terry (Nicole); four grandchildren, Dylan, Carson, Sloan, and Finn; two brothers, Gene (Melinda) and Jim (Karmen); three sisters, JoAnn (Harry) Braun, Joyce Rogers, Sandy Hochhalter; sister-in-law, Vicki; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale “Sam”, and Bob; brother-in-law, Tim Rogers; nephew, Jake Siirtola; his uncle, Henry Siirtola, who was like a father to him.
