Rose (or Rosie as she was fondly known by family) was born on June 11, 1958 to Elmer and Shirley Zimmerman in Bismarck, North Dakota. She was the second-born child of five and always joked that she was one of the forgotten middle children, but after meeting Rosie you knew she could never be forgotten. From an early age, Rosie was known for bringing laughter to the room and compassion to those around her.

Rosie’s love for adventure, travel, and her faith in God took her around the world. She lived in North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Montana.  She also traveled to Guatemala and China on mission trips where she shared her passion for God and delivered Bibles to those in need. Rosie faithfully served and ministered to countless people throughout her life – whether from a pulpit, on the job, as a prayer warrior, with a hug, or through her enormous heart of generosity.

Rosie’s career path was highlighted by her 20+ years with Northwest/Delta Airlines. However, it was her love for God and serving His people that directed the steps of her life. Rosie had such a deep love for her family, which was evident by the playfulness she shared with her nieces and nephews that she adored and the loving care she provided to her parents in their sunset years.

In 2014, God sent Rose what would be her greatest, earthly treasure…Randy Hultstrand. God truly orchestrated their love story and they married on January 10, 2015. She not only fell madly in love with Randy, but his four amazing children – Amy, Angela, Alyda, and Aaron. Rose loved Randy with every fiber of her being and considered it a great honor to be part of such a beautiful, internationally-flavored family that included the four kids, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, and precious grandchildren. Rose and Randy shared a deep passion for prayer and the power of God, which has been part of their daily lives. She truly enjoyed this new chapter of her life that was filled with motorcycle rides, tending to their massive garden, visiting the farm, welcoming their new pup, Gia, and simply being with the man of her dreams. The past 10 years filled Rose with a lifetime of overwhelming joy and priceless memories.

Rosie is survived by her husband Randy and step-children: Amy (Zach) Foster, Lynchburg, Virginia; Angela (Reggie) Robinson, Bismarck, North Dakota; Alyda (Amit) Choudhary, Hyderabad, India; Aaron (Vivian Espinal) Hultstrand, Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren: Asher, Henry, Eloise, and Selah Foster, Lynchburg, Virginia; sisters: Ronae (Randy) Gwin, Lakeville, Minnesota; Pam (Dave) Seratt, Powell, Wyoming; Elaine (Randy) Hansen, Queen Creek, Arizona; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Bryan & Jackie Zimmerman; and nieces Kelly Gwin and Christina Seratt.
