Roy was born May 15, 1936, in Kintyre, ND to Joseph and Elizabeth (Wald) Bosch. He was raised and educated in Napoleon, ND. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Germany.

On August 4, 1962, he married Marilyn Lepp in Bismarck, ND. He and Marilyn built their home and raised their family in Bismarck, ND where he worked for many years at Dakota Sand and Gravel until his retirement and operated his own foundation coating business.

Roy had a passion for antique tractors, which he would purchase and restore to take to parades. He was an avid collector, spending hours at auctions. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and visiting small town fairs. He loved game shows and music, particularly polka, and was frequently listening to the radio and rarely missed listening to the polka party.

Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his great-grandchildren. After Marilyn passed away, his brother Carl helped to fill the void, visiting every Tuesday and planning which auctions they would attend that weekend. He was very social, maintaining close relationships with his nieces, nephews, and many friends. Roy will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, sense of humor, and soft heart.

Grateful to have shared his life are his daughter and son-in law, Leanne and Keith Holzer; granddaughters, Ashley (Joe) Hillerson and Kayla (Collin) Dunnigan, and great-grandchildren, Benson and Ava Baker, all of Bismarck, ND.

He was preceded in death, by his wife Marilyn; his son, Jason; his daughter, Angela Kay; parents; brothers, John, Joe, and Carl, and his sister, Caroline Dahl.
