Ruben Dominguez

Ruben Dominguez, 57, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side on March 19, 2026.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Bismarck Funeral Home. Family will be receiving guests one hour prior to the service on Friday. Following cremation, Ruben’s remains will be laid to rest next to his father in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ruben was born in El Paso, Texas, to Teodoro and Genoveva Dominguez. He proudly served his country as a submariner in the United States Navy. Throughout his life, Ruben held many roles, including working as a rodeo clown and bullfighter. He later built a distinguished career with the union as a Local 1091 Journeyman carpenter, Local 1091 Trustee, Northern Midwest Council Delegate, and former Local 1091 business agent.

Ruben was a dedicated advocate for his fellow workers, supporting many throughout their careers. He will be remembered as a knowledgeable horseman, a gifted storyteller, and someone who deeply loved his dogs, friends, and family. His presence, humor, and strong spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Ruben is survived by his mother, Genoveva Dominguez; his brother, Antonio Dominguez; and his sisters, Rosie Dominguez, Lisa Hester, and Becky Sanchez; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Teodoro Dominguez.
