Sandra was born to John and Mae (Moravec) Kalisiak from Scranton, ND on November 2, 1946. She graduated from Scranton High School and attended Nursing School in Dickinson, ND earning her LPN degree. She worked at Bowman Hospital for 5 years and then finished her nursing career at Sunset Care Center for 35 years. Her true passion was caring for her patients/residents during her nursing career.
Sandra married Leland Domagala of Bowman, ND. They have 2 sons, Danny and Tracy, both of Bismarck, ND. She and Leland enjoyed camping and fishing in the summer months and spent winters for the past 20 years in Yuma, AZ. She enjoyed creating beautiful 3D picture art and gifted all her kids and grandkids with these creations. Activities she enjoyed included the Newcomer’s Club in Yuma, Red Hat Society, playing card games and a frequent trip to the casinos. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Brandon and Melissa and she was so grateful for great grandchildren: Atley, Ridge, Dutton, and most recently identical twins, Hayes and Cooper, whom she unfortunately did not get to meet in person due to NICU stays. She was a pet lover, having many dogs plus feeding the stray cat population in Scranton and Yuma before moving away! She thoroughly loved and spoiled Tracy and Carla’s dogs…especially Cassie, whom she spent every day with.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Leland; her children, Dan (Sandra) and Tracy (Carla). Grandchildren: Hunter (Makayla) and their children Atley and Ridge, Brandon (Tasha) and their children Dutton, Hayes and Cooper, and Melissa (boyfriend, Mike). Sister, Sherril (Richard) Keil; Sisters-in-law: Evey (John) Frovarp, and Betty Sosinski and many nieces and nephews she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland’s parents, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
