Shelly Bailey

Shelly Bailey, 65, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at her home. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 4th at Bismarck Funeral Home. Family will receive friends the hour before. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Shelly was born March 25, 1960, in Bismarck to Lester and Doris Henderson (Bell). She was raised and educated in Bismarck. On February 22, 1986, she married Troy Bailey and the two of them embarked on a journey of collecting. For 18 years she provided daycare to nieces and nephews. Then she went on to work for Family Fare for 20 years until the time of her passing.

She loved quilting and crafting which started over 40 years ago. Shelly enjoyed traveling across the states with Troy attending craft shows. They would attend the Coke Collectors conventions and sell at many flea markets over the years. She has gone to every quilt store on her path during her travels. Shelly also loved craft shows, especially Little Falls, MN. She loved to shop. Shelly’s memorial wreaths she made were sought after with people requesting them year after year. Her and Troy shared a special bond in their creativity and innovation with collecting and crafting.

Shelly is survived by her husband, Troy; Mother-in-law, Vonda Bailey; brothers-in-law, Barry (Deana), Ryan (Marge), and Wynn; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Henderson.
