Sherri was born June 27, 1955 to Tony and V. Marlene (Carlson) Dasenko in Bismarck. She was the oldest of three daughters.
Sherri attended school in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School in 1973. She was a stay-at-home mom until herboys started school. She then started her long banking career at Capital Credit Union. Sherri continued in banking, working at Mandan Security Bank, First Southwest Bank/Starion Bank, in various roles before becoming a mortgage loan officer at Starion Bank in Mandan. She then worked for Lewis and Clark Regional Development Council as the Community Works Housing Program Director and later for American Bank Center/Bravera Bank as an Underwriter until she retired in 2021.
Sherri met the love of her life, the neighbor boy, Roger Arenz, while in High School. Their 53-year relationship started at the age of 16 and they married at the age of 21 on June 5, 1976. They had two sons and 5 grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She was a very proud loving mother and grandma.
One of Sherri’s greatest loves was being with her family and friends. Nothing put a smile on her face more than having all of her children and grandchildren gathered together.
Sherri and Roger spent many summers at their cabin on Lake Sakakawea and also spent the last few winters after retirement in Florida. She always enjoyed driving from North Dakota to Florida because it gave them the opportunity to stop along the route to see family and friends.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Marlene Dasenko; and her mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Ollie Arenz.
Sherri is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roger Arenz; her sons, Joseph Arenz (Amy) and Jonathan Arenz (Kelly Hudalla); her beloved grandchildren, Jordon, Jayden, Zakk, Sofie and Ezra; sisters, Barb Dasenko and Pam Adams (Michael); and nieces, nephews, and many friends.
