Sidney "Sid" Larson, 84, of Tuttle, ND, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at English Lutheran Church, 307 Prairie St N, Tuttle, North Dakota. Burial will follow at the Tuttle Cemetery, Tuttle, ND.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home and will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Born on August 14, 1942, on a farm south of Chaseley, ND, Sid lived a life defined by hard work, community service, and a deep love for the people and passions that shaped his days.
On July 26, 1963 he married the love of his life, DeLila Felch, in Tuttle ND.
Sid began his working life on the railroad; a job he took great pride in until a serious back injury forced him to step away. After back surgery, he went on to work at ICI, applying his strong work ethic and self‑taught skills to a new trade. Eventually, Sid found his calling as a bar owner, Sid’s Place, creating a place where friends gathered, stories were shared, and laughter filled the room. He took great pride in keeping the bar spotless, paying attention to every detail to make it welcoming for everyone.
A self‑taught carpenter, Sid, could fix or build just about anything. His vehicles were always immaculate; a reflection of the care he put into everything he touched.
Sid was a proud member of the Tuttle Wildlife Club and volunteered for many years with the Tuttle Rural Fire Department, always ready to help when neighbors needed support.
He had a lively spirit — Sid loved to play pool, dance, and enjoy a cold Old Mil beer with friends. His greatest joy came from watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He was their biggest fan, cheering proudly from the stands and never missing a chance to support them.
Sid also had a special place in his heart for dogs, caring for them with the same loyalty and warmth he showed to the people in his life.
He will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to community, his craftsmanship, and the genuine, straightforward way he lived his life.
Sid is survived by his wife, DeLila Larson; his son, Lance (Peggy) Larson; his daughter, Evette (Lonny) Bosch; his grandchildren, Braydin (Monica) Rath, Koby Bosch and Sydney Bosch; his siblings, Ellis Larson, Sherman (Diane) Larson, Coleen Zerr, Lorna Fetzer, and Rosanne Jose; his brother-in-law, Truman (Violet) Felch; and his sister-in-law, Sharol Felch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Mildred Larson; his brother, Ernie Larson; his sisters, Nadean Johnson and Dawn Larson; his in-laws, Ervin and Fern Felch; and brothers-in-law, Roy Johnson, Jim Zerr, Darwin Felch, and Ken Jose.
